Bit2Me has just achieved a historic milestone by obtaining three Compliance certifications, leading the cryptoasset sector worldwide in this regard. Bit2Me thus becomes the first company globally to obtain three essential Compliance certifications: Criminal Compliance, Anti-Bribery, and Compliance Management System. These distinctions have been awarded by EQA, a prestigious international certification, inspection, and verification entity, highlighting Bit2Me as a leader in regulatory compliance within the cryptoasset field, and the consultants of Gobercom.

Through these certifications, Bit2Me sets a precedent in the sector, emphasizing its dedication to transparency, business ethics, and the prevention of malpractice, thereby increasing the trust of customers, employees, and partners.

After a rigorous independent audit process, supervised and participated in by ENAC (National Accreditation Entity in Spain), Bit2Me has demonstrated its firm commitment to protecting and enhancing its reputation and credibility.

The certifications establish an effective system of tools for early detection and prevention of malpractice, minimizing criminal liabilities in legal disputes, and integrating compliance management with other good governance and social responsibility programs.

These certifications confirm that Bit2Me has implemented meticulous processes for analyzing and mitigating criminal risk associated with its cryptoasset buying, selling, and custody services. They also reflect the commitment of all company employees, who have actively participated in an ongoing training campaign on Corporate Criminal Responsibility, and the fundamental role of the Criminal Compliance Committee in promoting and applying internal Compliance regulations.

Joao Augusto Cavalcante Teixeira, Chief Compliance Officer of Bit2Me, emphasized the importance of establishing and maintaining a compliance culture for long-term success in the cryptoasset sector. “Organizations in the cryptoasset sector that aim to be successful in the long term need to establish and maintain a compliance culture. With these certifications, Bit2Me has once again demonstrated its commitment to the law and ethics. We apply very robust policies and processes that ensure zero tolerance for criminal offenses within the company. We have rigorous control of criminal risks through a map that is under constant review,” he stated.

The certifications obtained are ISO 37001, focused on anti-corruption and business ethics; ISO 37301, which provides a framework for the compliance management system; and UNE 19601, which establishes best practices in criminal compliance management. These standards add to ISO 27001 and ISO 22301 obtained by the company in 2023, in addition to multiple recognitions for its compliance work and being named one of the most trusted platforms in the past year. All of this reinforces Bit2Me’s commitment to offering the best cryptocurrency platform in the world through high levels of quality and compliance with laws, regulatory requirements, industry codes, and good governance standards.
