Bit2Me, Spain’s leading crypto exchange, recognized by the Bank of Spain, and investee of Telefónica and Inveready Venture Capital, the fund with the highest return in the Spanish market, has appointed Koh Onozawa Martínez as the new co-CEO of the company. Onozawa has thus joined the Board of Directors alongside co-founder, CEO, and Chairman of the Board, Leif Ferreira, who will continue to hold this position.

Koh Onozawa Martinez is a Web3/technology entrepreneur, advisor, and investor in some of the top VC-backed startups around the world, mainly in Europe and the US. At a young age, Onozawa was listed in the first Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list in 2016 and was an EY Ernst & Young Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist in 2015. Throughout his career, Onozawa has launched startups in Asia, the United States, and Europe and is a venture partner for several Silicon Valley-based funds.

The appointment of Onozawa as the new co-CEO will provide Bit2Me with agility and effectiveness to grow and ratify its leadership in Europe and LATAM in the Web3 industry. In addition, Onozawa will strengthen the company’s new business line, focused on offering Web3 and blockchain technology infrastructure to third parties through Bit2Me Crypto API (Wallet as a Service) and Bit2Me Innovation Solutions, under the security, advantages, and know-how of a company like Bit2Me, a pioneer in the industry since 2014 and with a native token (B2M) operational since 2021.

For his part, Leif Ferreira will continue to contribute to Bit2Me’s growth and consolidation with his solid experience in product creation and launch, as well as his deep knowledge of the Ibero-American, which has made Bit2Me a key player in Spain, Portugal, and several Latin American countries.

As Ferreira says, “Koh, Andrei, Pablo, and I have been collaborating closely for several years in what is a very special and highly professional relationship: we have all learned to bring out the best in each other and have always put Bit2Me’s best interest first. We have developed great trust and mutual respect for each other through our collective successes and failures.”

In Koh’s words, “For me, it is a challenge that I take on with enthusiasm, increased responsibility, and under the trust of Leif, Andrei, Pablo, the board of directors, and the entire company. We will make Bit2Me one of the biggest players in the industry with different business lines. In education, we will introduce innovations and strengthen partnerships to help millions find jobs with Web3MBA and Bit2Me Academy. In adoption, we will dominate the Hispanic market by offering the best products and services for different types of users together with our strategic partners, such as Telefónica. We 100% believe that digital assets and the tokenization of real assets will be a very active part of the future financial and economic system, and Bit2Me is and will be there, strategically positioned to achieve those goals.”

For Andrei Manuel, co-founder and COO of Bit2Me, “Koh has been a key player for Bit2Me since its inception and has helped us achieve great success and growth in multiple areas of the company.”
