The first phase of the Hard Fork Vasil, the new Cardano update that was scheduled for last September 22 has been a success. Now it is time to implement, this Tuesday, September 27, the new functionalities of the Plutus scripts, which will take place in epoch 366 (each Cardano epoch lasts five days).
First of all, we want you to know that you can rest assured that your tokens will be safe and secure during this period, and no action is required on your part to adapt to the Cardano upgrade.
Vasil represents one of the most important milestones in Cardano’s history, as it will improve the network by increasing its performance, scripting efficiency and reducing block transmission latency.
As a precaution to ensure the security of your funds, Bit2Me will briefly pause withdrawals, deposits and Earn for ADA during this new phase of Vasil, i.e. on September 27th from 19.00 h UTC (21.00 hours in Spain). However, don’t worry: the rest of Bit2Me’s operations will continue to be fully functional during this time.
In this sense, although it is expected that Vasil will not cause any problems for users, this downtime allows us to review everything thoroughly and make sure that the transition has been reflected correctly in our systems.
Bit2Me is working to protect your assets and ensure that the Vasil transition from Cardano is completed smoothly. We apologise in advance for any inconvenience that may occur as a result of unforeseen developments during this hard fork and would like to remind you that we are here to help you in any way we can, whether it’s through our support team, the status website or on our social media channels.
