Anyone who has already been scammed becomes the target of a second trick: people who promise to recover the money.
How it works
After a scam, you are contacted by a supposed company, lawyer, investigator or even a fake public authority. They claim they can recover your funds, but first you have to pay a fee, a tax or a charge. Once you pay, they disappear.
What you should know
- No legitimate party will ask you for an upfront payment to recover your funds.
- Be wary of anyone who contacts you without you having looked for them.
- If you have been scammed, report it to the police and message us from the app.
